The BC Métis Federation is advising Métis families and community leaders about an upcoming forum being hosted by the Métis Commission for Children and Families of B.C. BC Métis Federation does not have a formal relationship with the Métis Commission but our board recognizes the importance of attending these discussions when any service delivery organization, such as the Métis Commission, wants to discuss policy as it relates to Métis children and family welfare.
The following letter is from the Métis Commission for Children and Families of BC to the Métis People of the North east region of British Columbia,
The Métis Commission for Children and Families of BC will be holding a meeting with Métis people in the North east region. The Métis Commission wants your input in matters of Métis child and family welfare.
The Commission will be in Dawson Creek at the George Dawson Hotel on Monday, January 9th from 10:30 am-4:30pm. A shared lunch will be provided. For those who wish to stay later than 4:30pm, dinner will also be provided.
If you want to decide the future of our children you need to come to this meeting.
