On Tuesday, February 18th, the Peace Region Métis Community Association (PRMCA) hosted a Cultural Awareness Seminar in Fort St. John.

This educational event taught attendees what cultural awareness is and how being mindful of cultural diversity can allow people to be more respectful of others. Participants enjoyed refreshments as they learned why being aware of your surroundings and community is important, the outlines of the beginnings of the Fur Trade era, Residential and Day School impacts, and more.
