On February 9th, the Nova Métis Heritage Association hosted a Métis Campfire Gathering in Surrey.

The event featured Keith Henry, President of the BC Métis Federation, who offered a presentation of the events at Batoche and a personal perspective on its intergenerational impacts. Attendees had the opportunity to connect, learn about Métis history, reflect on the legacy of Louis Riel and share in a communal space of reflection and dialogue. There were also food and refreshments provided, as well as a 50/50 raffle!
