Nominations are now open for the BC Métis Federation Board of Directors election, to be held at the 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Parkside Hotel and Spa, 810 Humboldt Street, Victoria, British Columbia.

There are nine director positions on the BCMF board up for election: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and as well as five directors-at-large. Members in attendance at the AGM will also be voting on a Special Resolution to change the term for BCMF Directors from two to four years.

BCMF members are invited to make a difference in the future of BCMF and shape the direction of the federation by standing for election to the Board of Directors. To be eligible for nomination, candidates must be a Full BCMF member in good standing and a BC resident for at least the 12 months preceding the election. Additionally, all candidates must submit the nomination form, a nominee statement, and a criminal record check.

Completed nomination forms must be emailed to nominations@BCMetis.com no later than 5:00 pm on August 7, 2024.  The nomination form for interested candidates can be downloaded from the BCMF website.
